Fieldsheer Air Tour Mesh Jacket

Fieldsheer is introducing something a little different for them this year. A mesh, touring jacket called the Fieldsheer Air Tour Mesh Jacket.
Common Touring Jacket Features
This touring jacket borrows quite a few features from the Fieldsheer Aqua Tour Jacket:
- Carbolex reinforced shoulder and elbow areas
- 3/4 length to provide additional coverage
- Removable CE approved armor in shoulder and elbows and comfort pad in back
- Reflective FS logo and piping
- Four patch cargo pockets on front
- Velcro® adjustable Carbolex waist straps
- 4-step adjustable upper and lower sleeve volume control to secure armor is in place for small or large arms
However, there are a couple big differences…
The Air Tour Difference
This jacket is designed for summer riding. It features an ultra-breathable fine weave abrasion resistant Fieldsheer Polytitanium mesh to help keep you cool on those long, hot rides. No more having to open vents to get air flowing inside your touring jacket.
The color choices are targeted at the touring rider as well. The Air Tour is only available in Silver and High-Visibility (Hi-Vis) Yellow. Silver is more of the traditional touring rider color but Hi-Vis Yellow is very popular with the safety minded crowd.
Sizing
They have departed from the Aqua Tour’s sizing as well with good and bad results. The Air Tour jacket is offered in men’s sizes only up to 5XLarge. Good news for the larger gentlemen. However, there are no tall sizes available and it isn’t available in XSmall for the smaller or younger rider. Granted, it is a new jacket and Fieldsheer is good about producing additional sizes if the jacket sells well.
Conclusion
Only time will tell if the Fieldsheer Air Tour Mesh Jacket will be a hit but numerous people have been asking for 3/4 length mesh jackets and mesh jackets in hi-vis yellow. Let’s hope the combination does well.

Sadly, the Fieldsheer Air Tour Mesh Jacket is no more. Fieldsheer has cut many of its product line to focus more on sportbike gear and the Air Tour was one of the casualties.
